National Deli Chain HVAC Rebalance

Context

In the spring of 2015, Melink was hired by a Facilities Director at a popular sandwich deli chain for a pilot balance service at their Port Arthur, TX location to audit the previous balance work of their existing contractor during the new construction. When Melink’s technicians reported several deficiencies and so opened the eyes of the facilities team to the faulty installation work, the pilot program expanded to an additional three stores.

 

Results

The Melink Technician inspected the rooftop units, exhaust fans, duct systems, thermostats, exhaust hoods, and other components of the HVAC systems. After all balance adjustments were made, a positive pressure that complied with the design requirements was read and the final results were discussed with the Restaurant Managers. Further, the company’s management team was provided with a detailed report including measurements, pictures of their HVAC components, and a punch list of deficiencies to be corrected to maintain the balanced, comfortable building. Melink is now performing the test and balance work for all of their new locations.
