Performance

The hotel realized substantial annual utility cost savings of $43,665 post-installation, dropping from $100,153 to $56,488 (Figure A), signaling a significant reduction in operational expenses. Achieving an ROI of 1.7 years emphasized the economic feasibility of the Intelli-Hood DCKV system, showcasing substantial cost savings and operational advantages from the investment.
This installation resulted in a remarkable 44% decrease in operational expenses, positively impacting the hotel’s financial sustainability and profitability. The enhanced energy efficiency of Intelli-Hood contributed to substantial CO2 savings, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1,002,228 lbs. annually. These savings align not only with the hotel’s sustainability objectives but also underscore its commitment to environmental responsibility.
The optimization of the average fan speed in the hotel’s kitchens reached an optimal rate of 75% (as indicated in the graph below), strategically aligning ventilation with the pace of cooking activities. This deliberate synchronization significantly bolstered the hotel’s energy efficiency, fostering a more environmentally responsible operational approach.
